I am participating in the Sandy Sprint in memory of my mother, Karen Stone Korman. Diagnosed in 2009 at Stage IIIC when she was just 53 years old, she faced her illness head-on. She used to talk about how she was "living on borrowed time" during those short remaining years. Her fight ended in September 2012. We were grateful for that extra time with her but there's never enough time. I hope you'll consider a donation to this cause so that more daughters have more time with their mothers.
