The Chesapeake Bay Watershed is the largest estuary in North America, supporting 18 million people and over 3,600 plants and animals, but it is under constant threat. The Chesapeake Conservancy is dedicated to preserving these special places for generations to come, using ground breaking data to identify valuable lands to protect and enact sound conservation policy in addition to restoring impaired streams.
