Support the Walk Fundraiser through the Month of May! 

STAR's annual Walk & Roll Fundraising Event supports early childhood therapies, first jobs for transitioning high school graduates, and scholarships for life enrichment classes for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Fairfield County. We call upon all of our families and community partners to help us raise $100,000 for STAR. We are accepting donations to teams through the month of May!

What to Expect at the 2025 STAR Walk & Roll!
Sunday, May 4, 2025
Sherwood Island State Park, Westport, CT
⏰ 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Join us for STAR’s 20th Annual Walk & Roll, a beloved community celebration of inclusion, connection, and empowerment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Whether you’re walking, rolling, cheering, or volunteering, this is a heartwarming and high-energy event for all ages.

Here’s what you can look forward to:

10:00 AM – Check-in, Kickoff & National Anthem
We’ll begin the morning with a warm welcome and the National Anthem.

Live Music & DJ
Enjoy upbeat tunes before and after the walk, featuring DJ Joe and live performances—setting the perfect soundtrack for the day.

Local Artists & Entertainment
Families can explore creative spaces hosted by local chalk artists and face painters, generously coordinated with help from Sidekick CT. We’ll also feature artists and games to keep kids of all ages smiling!

Food & Refreshments
Food will be available onsite courtesy of Ripka’s Beach Café, with something tasty for everyone.

Walk Start Time: 10:30 AM
Our inclusive walk begins at 10:30 AM along a scenic, accessible route with beautiful Long Island Sound views.
