About
The goal of Steamboat Springs Gravel bike ride is to promote inclusivity through cycling: everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate in ways that are personally meaningful. Not only do we ride (The Green Course and The Red Course) but we participate in panels, volunteer at the hill climb and the kids’ bike rodeo, and attend the film festival. Through our participation we are connected to 3000+ supporters.
We are asking friends and family to join us in financially supporting MH360. Specifically, our year-round Health & Wellness programming which engages over 130 students and their parents.
Programming includes:
- 24 cooking classes (Slow Foods Denver) and 24 Nutritional Classes (Inc. Nutrition).
- Social-emotional programming (through Upstream).
- Daily healthy meals and snacks (provided by Bonanno Concepts).
- 7th and 9th grade overnight trips (Colorado Outward Bound).
- Sexual health and healthy relationships programming (Colorado Sexual Health Initiative).
- Body Positivity programming (The Body Positive).
- 10 Parent sessions on communication and problem solving (Shilo House + internal).
- 10 Cooking classes for parents (Instructors from the Osage Café).
- Access to MH360’s mental health professionals (3) on an as-needed basis
Students and their families make a serious commitment to their health and their education. In fact, each student will spend up to 13 consecutive years with Mile High 360 (11 year old through 24 years old) to ensure that they have every opportunity necessary to become a first-generation college graduate. Over those 13 years, each student will participate in over 3700 hours of activities and events that are specifically geared to support students who want to become first-generation college graduates.
