I am participating in Steps2Cure NF to raise awareness and support for those affected by neurofibromatosis (NF), a genetic disorder that causes tumors to form on nerves throughout the body. The money raised will support the mission of NF Northeast, funding patient support programs, advocacy efforts, and cutting edge research, and will provide hope and help to individuals and families impacted by NF. Every step I take brings us closer to better treatments, increased awareness, and a brighter future—thank you for your support!
Why We Walk
Our sweet Jace has been teaching us about courage and love since the day he was born. Diagnosed with NF1 at just 3 years old, he has faced challenges no child should ever have to, yet he does it with a smile that lights up every room and a heart bigger than we could have imagined.
Whether he’s laughing at his favorite silly jokes, asking endless questions about everything he sees, or giving hugs just because… Jace reminds us every single day what it means to be brave, kind, and full of joy. He has taught us to celebrate every small victory, to cherish every moment, and to never lose hope.
We walk for Jace. We walk because we love him more than words could ever say, and because we want him, and every family living with NF, to know they are never alone. Every step we take is a step of love, a step of hope, and a promise to stand by him through every challenge.
Being part of Erie’s first-ever Steps2Cure NF Walk is our chance to do something real, something meaningful. Every stride, every dollar raised, brings us closer to better treatments, more awareness, and a brighter future for children like Jace.
