I’m walking in Steps2Cure NF for the most important reason in my life—my four year old daughter, Emilia.
At just six months old, Emilia was diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis (NF), and from that moment on, our world changed in ways we never expected. What followed has been a journey filled with appointments, uncertainty, and now chemo treatment—but also one filled with strength, love, and a resilience that only she could teach me.
Watching my child go through things no child should have to face is something I can’t fully put into words. But what I can say is this—Emilia continues to show up every single day with courage, with light, and with a spirit that inspires me to be stronger for her.
This walk is deeply personal. It’s a way for me, as her mom, to stand beside her not just in the quiet moments, but out loud—in support, in advocacy, and in hope. Hope for better treatments, hope for more answers, and hope for a cure.
