In 2024, our daughter was diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1), turning our world upside down. Since then, she’s been facing some incredibly large medical challenges. She’s been bravely dealing with hydrocephalus, a painful buildup of fluid around her brain, as well as a tumor affecting her optic nerves, which requires rigorous ongoing oral chemotherapy. These treatments are a lot for anyone, especially for such a young child!
Through it all, Sophia continues to amaze us with her strength, courage, and constant smile. Watching her take on so much with such grace reminds us every day just how resilient she is. It is truly humbling. We’re so proud to stand by her side and believe deeply in her ability to get through this, one step at a time.
