Why We're Walking

Natalia is now 6 years old and has been dealing with NF since birth. She has overcome many obstacles along the way including 13 months of chemo for a tumor in her optic nerve, speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, a brace for scoliosis she wears 18 hours a day which she will have her first surgery for this summer, along with several other small tumors under the skin. We walk to raise awareness and support for her and others affected by neurofibromatosis (NF), a genetic disorder that causes tumors to form on nerves throughout the body. The money raised will support the mission of NF Northeast, funding patient support programs, advocacy efforts, and cutting edge research. Every step we take brings us closer to better treatments, increased awareness, and a brighter future—thank you for your support!
