Founded by Lauren & Steve White (Blake's parents), #teamBLAKE walks with purpose, pride, and a whole lot of heart.

When Blake was born, we received a birth diagnosis of Down syndrome less than 24 hours after delivery. It was overwhelming and scary—but what we’ve learned since then is simple and powerful: Down syndrome is not scary. It’s just one part of a beautiful, meaningful life.

Blake is now a rising second grader in a fully inclusive classroom, surrounded by incredible teachers and friends. He loves playing basketball and baseball, watching and creating YouTube videos, having dance parties, and singing with Mama in the car. His joy is contagious, and his spirit inspires everyone who meets him.

We walk to celebrate Blake and every individual with Down syndrome. We walk to support inclusion, advocacy, and the programs that make a real difference—like those offered by the Down Syndrome Association of Maryland.
