We want to express our deepest gratitude for your generous support in our fundraising effort for congenital heart defects. Your contribution means the world to us, especially as our 4-month-old baby, Jayt, faces a heart defect he will live with for life.

For those who may not know Jayt’s story, he was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect during our 20-week anatomy scan. Initially, we were told he had Hypoplastic Aortic Arch, but further scans revealed Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, which was confirmed shortly after his birth.

Jayt was immediately placed in the NICU, where he received crucial medication to keep him alive, and underwent an atrial septostomy at just 2 days old. This temporary fix was followed by a Hybrid Open Heart Surgery a week later, to prepare him for future procedures. Jayt will need multiple surgeries, including the Glenn procedure in the coming months, and potentially a heart transplant later in life.
