As I try to find the right words, I realize the irony in this...If you knew Chris you know that he was the king of organizing events and raising money for great causes. He loved celebrating life and the good work of so many people around him. Nothing thrilled him more than to encourage, help and love on people. What a gift his life was to me and our family, but also to so many around us. This is an opportunity to raise money against this brutal disease that took away so much from us and our community. Chris was a star! A star of generosity, encouragement and so much more to so many. His greatest desire was to mirror and reflect God's love to all around him and he did just that.

On the 30th of July, Chris would have turned 54 years old and that is how we came up with $5400 as our goal. It is a large sum of money but a great cause for a great organization that is fiercely fighting to find a cure and help so many that have been affected by this dreaded disease. I had the opportunity to participate in a grief group with them and I am thankful for that opportunity.

I deeply appreciate your consideration to donate to the CJD Foundation. Please know that any donation is welcome but with a donation of $30 you will receive a shirt. The actual event is virtual this year due to COVID and will be held in October. We will definitely post our family picture with our shirts and we hope that you do the same if you decide to participate and be a part of our fierce team, Pepaw's Pals.
