In October of 2019 we lost my father, Ron Martin, to Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD). For anybody who is unfamiliar with CJD, it is a rare neurodegenerative disorder that is 100% fatal; it took Ron from us in only 7 short weeks. Because CJD is so uncommon, there is no cure or understood way to prevent or treat it. By raising money and spreading awareness we can help doctors and researchers understand this disease and maybe, one day, prevent others from ever having to experience it.
Ron was a joyful lover of life, a passionate helper of others and a very proud alumnus of the University of Cincinnati (go Bearcats!). Please join me in honoring him by fighting back against CJD.
