Fundraising Competition

The team fundraising competition ends on Thursday, September 7th at 11:59pm Eastern. Donations raised after September 8th will be gratefully received and graciously acknowledged, but will not be counted toward the Fundraising Competition. Please note, registration fees do not count toward the fundraising competition.

The Top Two Fundraising Teams nationally, based on total donations made by Thursday, September 7th at 11:59pm Eastern will receive: 

  • Recognition of the team and tribute to their loved one on the CJD Foundation website.
  • Recognition of the team, tribute to their loved one, and a memorial award to be presented at the CJD Foundation Annual Family Conference in Washington, D.C. in July 2024.
  • One free conference registration, one hotel room, and conference meals for a representative of the team to receive the memorial award for fundraising at the 2024 CJD Foundation Annual Family Conference (travel expenses not included.)
  • Recognition of the team on social media.
  • A page (“quilt square”) on CJD Foundation Memory Quilt.

About Fundraising

Through Strides, anyone -- anywhere -- can pay tribute to their loved ones and raise funds for the CJD Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, to provide family support, medical education, and research programs.

When you set up a team or a personal fundraising page you can share it with all your contacts via email and social media.  Teams who raise $1,000+ by Sunday, August 13th at 11:59pm Eastern time will be able to have their loved one's name included on the participant t-shirt. Please note, registration fees do not count toward the $1,000+ to have your loved one's name included on the participant t-shirt.

Print this sponsorship letter and give it to your employer, businesses or corporations.

Donations of $250 and above are considered sponsorships.

Sponsorship Levels:

  • Premier: $20,000
  • Diamond: $10,000
  • Platinum: $5,000
  • Gold: $1,000
  • Silver: $500
  • Bronze: $250

The deadline for Sponsors' names (individuals) or logos (companies) to appear on participant t-shirts is Sunday, August 13th at 11:59pm Eastern time. Premier, Diamond, and Platinum Sponsors will have their name or logo* displayed on participant T-shirts, the Strides for CJD website, and signage. Gold Sponsors will have their name or logo* displayed on the Strides for CJD website, and will have their name (not their logo) listed on participant T-shirts and signage.

Sponsorships made after Sunday, August 13th at 11:59 Eastern time will have their name or logo* displayed on the Strides for CJD website only. 

Silver and Bronze Sponsors will have their name listed on the Strides for CJD website only.

*Please email your logo to strides4cjd@outlook.com in the following formats:

  • Logos for the Website: .jpg, .jpeg, .png, or .pjpeg (max. file size: 10MB)
  • Logos for the T-Shirts: .API,  .EPS 

Note: Team fundraising pages are made up of individual fundraising pages.  The amount an individual raises counts toward his or her team's total.  You can either create a team or join an existing team (or register as an individual).

The CJD Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization (Federal EIN: 65‐0404623). Your gift is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. If your employer matches donations, please consider requesting a match to complement your personal contribution. Funds raised will support medical education, family support and research programs.
