My mom was the most helpful, loving and fun person in our lives. She was an amazing daughter, sister, mother, and grandma. She made all of us feel loved, protected and cared for every day. We miss her more than words can express and think about her everyday. CJD took her from us in a couple months and only 2 weeks after diagnosis. Her symptoms were odd and began with vision impairment. Eventually she had constant absence seizures that led to being placed into a medically induced coma until the doctor's could figure out what was happening. We never got to say goodbye to her. It is my hope that through fundraising and raising awareness we can help the medical community be quicker with diagnosis and eventually find a cure.
