On October 2, 2019, my dad lost a short but aggressive battle against a rare brain disease called Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD). Little is known or really understood about this disease and it affects 1 out of 1 million people per year. 

After watching both my dad and my family go through something so awful, I wanted to take action to try to help others who have been affected and those who will one day be affected by this terrible disease.

This Sunday, October 6th, I will be flying to Denver to participate in Strides 4 CJD in honor of my dad.
