My father was diagnosed with this horrible disease November of 2018. The news that my father had a disease I had never heard of, and that there was nothing that could be done, left me feeling crushed and hopeless.

My father has always been my hero. He was the strongest man I knew and I simply couldn’t believe that this was his fate. This disease took him away from us little by little and it was heartbreaking. 

My father was a fighter and I know he fought this disease with everything he had for as long as he could. Now it’s our turn to fight by raising money for the CJD foundation, who helped us so much through all of this. The money raised will go towards research that will hopefully one day find a cure. My wish is that one day these three letters won’t bring families heartbreak and hopelessness because there will be a cure.
