Doug: the most light hearted person in the room…of any size. He has a special way of making people feel welcome regardless of who they are. The stories we could share about Doug and his practical jokes or witty comments are nearly endless. 

To have this smart, witty, fun-loving friend become diagnosed with something as awful as CJD has been devastating. It has been hard to watch how quickly this disease is trying to steal our friend from us. 

In partnership with Doug’s family, we are inviting you to participate in a fun run/walk to raise awareness and funds for the CJD Foundation.  This organization invests in research, conferences and support among the CJD community so hopefully one day no other wife, daughter, mom, dad, brother, friend, family member, or colleague need be introduced to the acronym we have become all too familiar with these last 6 weeks.  

If you know Doug AT ALL one of the first things you would probably think of to honor and support him is a race!!! The idyllic combination of:

• running (or walking)
• competition
• Memorial Park
• friends coming together
• AND fighting for a cause that has pilfered all of the above from our N&M Fun Run Team Captain is a no brainer. 

October 2nd we hope to see as many of you as possible at Memorial Park to honor our friend and colleague to help the world fight Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease.
