On December 18, 2018 I lost my precious friend Gina Puleo Mazzucca to this disease.
Strides for CJD is an annual walk/run to raise awareness of Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease, a rare neurodegenerative disease that has no treatment or cure. The CJD foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, provides family support, medical education and research programs. I have to say this foundation had certainly helped us navigate through our difficult time answering the many questions that we had.
We are walking/running as a team for Gina. I made $2,400 my personal goal because she was born on the 24th. Honestly, no amount is too small. I am beyond grateful for any donation.
