Strides for CJD 2021

Welcome back everyone. I hope everyone got thru the pandemic without any issue. For those that lost family or friends, our hearts are with you.
So, post-pandemic Stride for CJD is on for October 2.
CJD is a degenerative brain disease that renders it's victims totally incapacitated.
We lost our mom (Joyce) to this disease in 2018 after a 2.5 year battle. Her deterioration was fast and heartbreaking and we were blessed to have those 2.5 years because most people who fall to it don't even get a year.
During this time we found the CJD foundation and started getting involved in the Strides events and met some of the most wonderfully compassionate, educated and overall kind people who have walked the same path we did with this disease.
The money raised for CJD has gone to research and as I understand, they have been making progress on some medication to manage the symptoms of the disease but still have a loooong way to go for a cure. And until there's a cure...WE WILL CONTINUE TO WALK.
