When our mother became ill in Nov. 2014, we went to so many doctors and most of them didn't know what was wrong, in the beginning, and our mother said, "you need to find out what is wrong with me and help others if I should die of this thing".  This illness came out of the blue and destroyed her in 8 weeks, and so that is why we have been involved with the CJD Foundation ever since.  It's something you can't forget, the shock of it all and the way in which most people in the medical field didn't know about how to diagnosis and help.

At that time, we found the CJD Foundation and have since been involved in helping every year, to raise funds, be involved, and we try to keep the spirit of our mother alive with our entire family attending the walks, donating and getting involved where they can.

This year, my sister-in-law, Diane Stanilious and I (Lauren Stanilious) are co-captains of the Morris County NJ Team where the walk event will be held on Oct. 5.

We'd appreciate if you could consider any type of donation in her memory and to help others involved find a cure, help others with the CJD Foundation staff as they helped us find our way through the heartache at that time.
