On June 25, 2024, my wife Irene Petris passed away of Prion's disease (Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease) which is a sudden and sporadic random folding of proteins in the brain. Prion disease is a molecular killer and is always fatal. There is no cure for the disease along with any known treatment. All Prion diagnosis' result in death that occurs within weeks of being diagnosed. Along with other earthly incurable diseases, CJD is another horrible disease that no one should have to endure.

This coming October 4, 2025 I will be participating in a Strides for CJD walk in San Diego.  Yes, my fundraising goal is lofty but possible with your help. My next mission in life is to work for anything and everything to help with research, treatments, and ultimately a CURE for this deadly disease.
