My Mom taught me that death is a powerful portal of transformation, but not knowing what was happening to my Mom at the end of her life added a measure of pain that was insurmountable alone. CJD is rare and difficult to diagnose. My mother was a vibrant, healthy, and active 69-year-old with many trips planned and dreams to come. Within 3 months, she made her transition. We did not know what was happening until 10 days before she passed. 

Reba Jean Potee was a truth seeker and a wisdom teacher. She will be right by my side on this fundraising walk to raise money to support other families in need of the community's powerful support. 

The single most healing activity I participated in was attending a CJD Foundation support group. To be in the loving presence of other families who had a deep understanding, and the support group moderators were lifesavers! I know the money I raise will make these groups possible for others.
