In loving memory of my dear sister Lynette, who passed away far too soon from Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD) on July 20, 2025, after only a short battle that began in early May. She was a devoted mom to three grown children, a proud grandmother of seven, and a dedicated volunteer with her local youth soccer team. Her sudden loss has left a deep void in our family and community.
We — the NayBirds — are raising funds for the Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease Foundation, Inc. to support vital research, awareness, and resources for families facing this devastating illness. Every donation helps honor her legacy of love, kindness, and service, while bringing us closer to a future without CJD.

Strides for CJD is an annual walk/run to raise awareness of Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD), a rare neurodegenerative disease that has no treatment or cure. Through this event, anyone -- anywhere -- can pay tribute to their loved ones and raise funds for the CJD Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization.
