Join Team Florida for Virtual Strides for CJD

This year, we’re excited to launch the **Virtual Strides for CJD** event, allowing participants to walk in their neighborhoods with friends and family while honoring our loved ones affected by Creutzfeldt Jakob Disease (CJD).

Event Details:
- Dates: Walk anytime on October 4th, 5th, 11th, or 12th.
- Location: Your Neighborhood or Favorite Place to Walk

New for this year, friends and family who may not be near a Strides for CJD location can easily join virtually. Simply register, create a fundraising team, and invite others to participate and donate. Share your personal or team fundraising pages via email and social media to spread the word!

Remember, everyone who registers by Wednesday, August 20th at 11:59 PM Eastern Time will receive a participant t-shirt.

Share photos of your walk using the hashtags #Strides4CJD, #CureCJD, #CurePrionDisease, and #CJDFoundation in October to help raise awareness.

Virtual fundraising teams have been vital to the success of Strides for CJD, making a significant impact in raising awareness and funds for the CJD Foundation. Whether walking alone or with a small group, every step counts!

Registration Information

  • Register by Wed., Aug. 20th 11:59pm ET to receive a free Strides for CJD t-shirt with your registration.
  • Registration costs $30 for adults and $20 for children 12 and under thru Thurs., Sept. 11th at 11:59pm ET. After that, costs jump to $35 for adults and $25 for children 12 & under.
  • Online registration ends Thursday, 12:00pm ET the Thursday before your event. After that, you can register on-site the day of your event.

About Fundraising

Donations of $250 and above are considered sponsorships.

Sponsorship Levels:

  • Premier: $20,000
  • Diamond: $10,000
  • Platinum: $5,000
  • Gold: $1,000
  • Silver: $500
  • Bronze: $250

Premier, Diamond, and Platinum Sponsors will have their name or logo displayed on participant t-shirts, the Strides for CJD website, and signage. Gold Sponsors will have their name or logo displayed on the Strides for CJD website, and will have their name (not their logo) listed on participant T-shirts and signage. Silver and Bronze Sponsors will have their name listed on the Strides for CJD website only.
