Gerald Anthony Plot was a man of many titles, but to me he was my father. Son, husband, father, brother and friend, Gerald was a Veteran of the Navy, Border Patrol, ATF and private investigator. He was a proud Puerto Rican Man, a Miami Dolphins fan since before I was born, fisherman and lover of his animals. My dad started showing symptoms which we thought would be early onset alzheimers, in early february of 2025. He had several hospital visits after falling over, slight memory loss, falling asleep while driving. He was diagnosed in early April with CJD. He was given 8 months life expectancy, later passing on June 28, 2025 in hospice in Texas. He was taken from us too soon. This devastating and rare disease needs more light and more research.
