Why I'm Running for St. Joseph’s Children's Hospital

On February 2nd, I will be running a very special event for St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital here in Tampa, Florida. It’s not just another run for me—it’s deeply personal. On this day, not only will I be celebrating my birthday, but I’ll also be running for every child who visits this incredible hospital. For every kilometer I run, I will be honoring the children and families who depend on St. Joseph’s for their care and healing.

I’ve called Tampa home for just over a year and a half, and in that short time, I’ve witnessed the power of this community. The people here are filled with compassion, dedication, and a drive to make a difference. And St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital stands at the heart of that mission, providing exceptional care to families in need.

The hospital has given so much to this community, and now it’s time to give back. The money we raise from this event will go directly to hiring four new navigators—individuals who play a crucial role in guiding families through their journey at the hospital. Navigators are the unsung heroes who provide support, comfort, and answers to families during what is often a very difficult time. They are there every step of the way, making a sometimes overwhelming experience easier to navigate.

The most important thing for us is to care for today, so we can create a better tomorrow. This run isn’t just about raising money—it’s about ensuring that the children who walk through those hospital doors are supported, cared for, and empowered to become strong, healthy individuals. Together, we can help make that happen.
