Founded in Omaha in 1875, Heartland Family Service (HFS) connects each year with more than 100,000 individuals and families through direct services, advocacy, education, and outreach within the Council Bluffs/Omaha area and surrounding communities.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, HFS’s services strengthen families, adults, and children through crisis response, mental health and substance use treatment, shelter and support for those who are survivors of exploitation, and housing and homeless prevention services.
