As most of you know, I'm a long-time volunteer at C.A.R.E. and Choo Choo, Trixie, and Opie are all CARE alums. As with so many other not-for-profits, we have been hit very hard by COVID-19--with our in-person fundraising events that pay our bills being cancelled. However, the work we do to save and find new homes for dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens continue, and the adoption fees do not cover the costs of preparing them for adoption, let alone support the overhead for the Shelter/Adoption Center.
