It's hard for me to believe that I've been volunteering with CARE for just over 20 years.  We've been through so many changes over the years, not the least of which was moving out of a tiny little building owned by the city of Evanston into a beautiful building of our own.  It still seems so crazy that the dream of having our own space became a reality.  

We take in cats and dogs from owners who can no longee care for them as well as from local shelters like CACC. We have also pulled animals from other overcrowded shelters from Tennessee, Texas and Louisiana. Another one of our services is a pet food pantry to try to help keep pets in their homes.  

Over the years, some of our animals have required pretty extensive (and expensive) medical care and we are happy to be able to provide that care. 

We rely on donations to makes this all happen.  I hope you will consider making a donation to help us help homeless pets.
