A pregnant cat drowning in a drain needed help. The only safe place during the storm was to put her in our basement.  Our household of three dogs and two adults were all in shock.  So was she.  I called C.A.R.E. and spoke with the cat coordinator. (I was afraid of stray cats.)  She walked me through every step of fostering.  The wonderful volunteer Vet knew how to handle me and her ultimate litter of 6 kittens.  From birth, spaying, socialization to adoption C.A.R.E provided the people and resources needed.  Our family of humans and dogs adopted two of her kittens who love us all.
