I've had the honor of volunteering with CARE for over 22 years. CARE, located in Skokie since 2018, has been dedicated to rescuing and rehoming cats and dogs since 1987. Over the years, I've seen firsthand the incredible impact this organization has on our community and the lives of countless animals.

I have a special connection to CARE—my three beloved cats were all adopted through this wonderful organization. I know the dedication and resources it takes to prepare these animals for their forever homes. On average, it costs $490 to get a cat ready for adoption and $1025 for a dog.

CARE also runs a food pantry to support pet owners in need, ensuring that pets can stay with their families even during tough times.

Our biggest fundraiser of the year, the Strut, is coming up, and we need your support more than ever. Your donations and participation help us continue our mission of rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals in need.
