I am delighted to share about this fundraiser for C.A.R.E., my neighborhood animal rescue organization with a big reach.
In 2023, C.A.R.E. helped re-home 404 pets at a total cost of more than $220,000.
Additionally, C.A.R.E.'s Pet Food Pantry has grown exponentially during the economic downturn to help pet owners in need keep their pets at home.
I have been involved as a volunteer at CARE since the beginning of this year, and my younger son was a volunteer for a year before that as well. I go in weekly to work with both cats and dogs, offering Reiki to help with reducing stress as well as to offer support with Reiki for any medical recovery needs. I have seen the enormous dedication the organization has to the wellbeing of the animals with the intention that they should all be able to thrive and find their forever homes.
