We are glad you will be joining our event on August 18, 2021. Please know we are committed to protecting the health and wellbeing of all in attendance, as well as want to ensure everyone has a good and safe experience at the Summer Celebration in benefit of Maestro Cares Foundation and SOS Children's Villages Illinois.
To create more space, both indoor and outdoor areas, weather permitting, will be made available for guests. Additionally, this will be a cocktail event where food and drinks will be served, so there will be times when our guests will not be wearing masks.
If you have not been vaccinated, but are planning to be in attendance, you will be required to wear a mask during the event except when eating or drinking to ensure everyone’s safety.
Please note: Following updated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and based on Chicago’s current local COVID-19 data, the Chicago Department of Public Health recommends that everyone over the age of 2, regardless of vaccination status, wear masks in public indoor settings. Masking remains optional in outdoor settings, where the risk of COVID-19 transmission is lower. CDPH recommends that all attendees, regardless of vaccination status, wear masks whenever social distancing cannot be maintained

About SOS Children's Villages Illinois
SOS Children’s Villages Illinois, founded over 25 years ago, is a 501(c)3 child welfare agency that provides a stable home in a supportive, community environment designed to help children in need grow into caring, productive, and self-reliant adults. The SOS Children’s Villages model differs from traditional foster care in emphasizing the following four components: 1) Children live together with their siblings, 2) Children receive care and support from a full-time, professionally trained Foster Parent, 3) Children grow up in a private, single-family home, 4) Children are supported by the Village, designed as an intentional community of care.
SOS Children's Villages Illinois unites brothers and sisters in foster care and provides a safe space to heal for at-risk youth.
SOS Children’s Villages Illinois celebrates a 100% high school graduation rate, compared to a national average of 50% for children in foster care. In November 2015, Chicago Magazine named SOS Children’s Villages Illinois one of the “Best Charities in Chicago.”
