Patrick Cunningham - 5th Kyu Advanced Yellow Belt

I joined Sun Dragon about a year and a half ago. At the time I was just looking for a place to start training in Karate again. Since then I have been amazed by the strength of the community in this dojo and the good that the people involved in it do for each other and for their community. Sensei Joy and all the instructors work so hard to ensure that the school is the perfect example of how martial arts can be a force for good by empowering all of us to be better people.

But it doesn't end there. The school provides great self-defense training, focusing on social justice and violence prevention, and makes these sessions available to everyone, ensuring those in our community most in need of this training have access to it. These classes are amazing and extra attention is given to making sure everyone feels safe and leaves even more confident.

I am proud to be a member of the Sun Dragon community and hope you will support us as we strive to expand our school and make both martial arts and self defence training available to anyone who wants it.
