KJ has a third degree black belt in Seido karate and a first degree black belt in Kyokushin and has been at Sun Dragon since 1999, while Laura earned her first degree black belt in 2013 after training in Seido karate since 2008. Both of us really love training with the great folks at Sun Dragon.

Sun Dragon is an amazing organization, which provides opportunities for anyone to learn skills to help make themselves and their community safer, regardless of their ability to pay. The money we raise from the Kickathon directly supports the Sun Dragon scholarship fund. Our scholarship program is available to any student or organization needing financial assistance to participate in any of our classes. Approximately 15% of our karate students receive scholarships. The scholarship fund also supports our reduced-cost and free violence prevention workshops for local non-profit organizations.
