On Saturday, March 3 the SUNY Delhi Culinary Hot Food Team competed in the American Culinary Foundation (ACF) Northeast Regional Student Team of the Year Competition. The team masterfully created and executed a menu highlighting fresh, local ingredients from the Delaware County, NY area. Team Delhi was victorious, finishing in first place, receiving coveted gold medals. This is SUNY Delhi’s eighth time winning the regional competition, the first since 2017.
With the victory, the team qualified to compete in the National Student Team of the Year Competition, being held this July in Phoenix, Arizona. The team has set its sights on brining SUNY Delhi its third ACF National Championship title. The team has set a goal of raising $20,000 to meet travel and competition cost. Help us send ten top student chefs, support faculty, and culinary equipment the 2,436 miles to Phoenix to bring home gold.
