A determined little boy born at 1lb 6oz. came into this world four years ago with a super power only a few can witness. The power to make doctors mouths drop. We were told all sorts of things about this little guy. "He may not walk, he may not talk, he will need a feeding tube, a breathing tube...blah, blah, blah. Elijah had other plans in mind. Now he can't stop jumping and running everywhere, he doesn't stop talking, and he eats as if it's always his last meal. As far as the breathing thing goes, there is no breathing tube, just a little asthma, but two puffs of albeuterol and he's on the move again. Elijah was diagnosed with spastic quadripeligic cerebral paslsy when he was a year old and diagnosed as being on the autistic spectrum when he was 3. The doctors were way off with their theory and our little boy continues to show his super powers daily. He's mind is strong and his memory is amazing. He remembers everything you tell him or that he hears. He may not understand the world exactly the way other people do but he definitely shows other people the way his world was meant for him. Join Team Elijah for another autism awerness walk!
