My Swift Story

On May 24th, 2019, I went up to Camp Swift for my first summer as a counselor not knowing that it would change my perspective of life forever. When I first got there I was introduced to my co-counselors and we clicked immediately. It was obvious that we were going to be a good team, however, I was still nervous about meeting our campers. How was I going to connect with them? What if they don’t like me? What if I wasn’t good at being a counselor?
The following day the campers arrived and we started our journey together. I spent a lot of time with my campers and the more I got to know them the more I realized how special each of them was. One day we were talking about what we wanted to be when we were older and we were drawing pictures of our future selves. One of our quieter girls took extra time drawing her picture and when it was her turn to present she said, “When I'm older I want to be a counselor at Camp Swift because my counselors make me feel so happy and always listen to me.” She continued to tell us that she had the best week of her life and that I was one of the reasons it was so special.
I am asking for your donation which will allow moments like these to continue to happen.

You Can Make An Impact

Your impact is important. A small donation goes a long way. For example, a donation of $10 provides a yummy grilled cheese and tomato soup lunch to one camper, a donation of $25 provides art supplies for Swift-After-School participants and $100 gives a cabin the chance to go canoeing. If you would like to donate your 2020 Tax Credit to Swift Youth Foundation, that money alone could send a child up to camp for a whole session. Every dollar counts. Thank you for your support!!
