.
Dear Friends,
This spring, I’m participating in Swim A Mile | Move A Mile for Women with Cancer to raise funds for the Women’s Cancer Resource Center (WCRC), and I hope you’ll consider supporting this important cause.
One of the most painful moments of my life was when my mom called to tell me she had breast cancer. From that moment on, cancer had no idea I was mad as hell, and I was coming for it. My mom fought it like the absolute badass woman she is. Her surgery lasted 14 hours, during which she underwent a full mastectomy and reconstruction. We were incredibly fortunate there was only one lump, and as her doctor said, “The lump was minding its own business. I went in and took it out.”
Even after treatment, once cancer enters your life, there is always the possibility it could return. Every year, every woman who goes in for an exam or mammogram holds her breath while waiting for results. Cancer is not only physically and emotionally exhausting, but it can also be financially overwhelming. Having an organization like WCRC in your corner during such a difficult time is truly a blessing.
That’s why WCRC is such a vital organization to support. They walk alongside women from diagnosis, through treatment and recovery, and into remission providing compassionate care, resources, and community when it’s needed most.
If you’d like to contribute, you can donate through this page or mail a check with my name in the memo to:
Women’s Cancer Resource Center

Thank you in advance for your generosity. Your support helps sustain a community that’s there for women when it matters most.
With gratitude,
Kendra
