For many reasons, 2018 was a difficult and sad year.

In April of that year, my niece, Savannah, was unexpectedly delivered stillborn.  Five years later and the sadness and pain is still there. 

Approximately 21,000 babies (1 in 175 births) are stillborn in the U.S. each year.

My brother Mark, his amazing wife Carolyn, and Savanna's adorable 3-year old sister, Amelia, have partnered with The Star Legacy Foundation to raise awareness and decrease the rate of stillbirth in the United States.

The Star Legacy Foundation is the nation's leader in the care and prevention of pregnancy loss, stillbirth, and neonatal death. 

I've been taking a break from social media this past year, but this was definitely a reason to make my return  

My fundraising goal for 2023 for this great cause has been reached, but if anyone wants to participate and increase our numbers please feel free add to our efforts!
