Event FAQS

We understand that in our current environment, gathering in very large groups can be scary. Due to COVID-19, Take the Challenge will be a fully virtual event.

This year may look a little different, but we have an opportunity to cover more ground than ever before - literally!

What is a Virtual Run/Walk Event?

  • A virtual 5K event is an event that can be run or walked from any location you choose.
  • You can run, jog or walk on the road, a trail, or on a track. You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself.

How can I help?

  • Proceeds from race registration, indivudal donations, and sponsorships allow Easterseals to provide exceptional services, education, outreach, and advocacy so that people living with autism and other disabilities can live, learn, work and play in our community!
  • You can participate by starting a team, joining a team or participating as an individual.
  • Once registered you can fundraise for those with disabilites by using our tips to help you meet your goal and earn cool Easterseals goodies along the way!

How do I use RTRT?

I have family and friends who live out of town, can they participate?

  • Absolutely! Simply have them register, choose a 5K (3.1 miles) course where they live, run/walk, and track their time! We hope this year's race can be a fun competition with neighbors, family and friends, near and far! Be sure to have everyone share their race photos using #TaketheChallenge

Does the event take place on a specific date?

  • Yes! To be entered to win a prize in your category you must complete your walk or run on the morning of Novemeber 14, 2020 before 12:00pm.
