Caroline walks in memory of her cousin Julia, who so bravely fought cancer. She walks to commemorate her own battle with cancer. She walks for her friends who are currently fighting. She walks for a brighter future for all those parents and kids that hear “you have cancer.”
In 2018 $170 million (or 4% of the NCI budget) was spent on childhood cancer research. In contrast, over $3 billion was spent on political advertising in 2018.
As a result, funding research for treatments for childhood cancer falls upon the private sector. We would be humbled by any contribution you could make to support these efforts. Thank you. ?
