My Personal Fundraising Page
I want to express my heartfelt thanks for taking a moment to visit my fundraising page.
My commitment to making a difference has led me to participate in the Congenital Heart Walk, an event that carries immense significance for me. It's not just a walk; it's a stride toward changing lives. This endeavor is all about supporting The Children's Heart Foundation and their crucial mission - advancing the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects through groundbreaking research.
I warmly invite you to become a part of this significant journey by supporting my fundraising efforts. Together, we can raise the funds essential to drive forward life-saving research. Your contribution holds immeasurable value to me.
Thank you for your generosity, and for standing beside me in this mission. Your support means the world.
The day our Heart Warrior was born
A VERY planned birth for our girl, Eva. She's even holding up a peace sign to let everyone know she's here. :)
READY, SET....GO!!
She never got the memo that she has half a heart. She's ALWAYS ready to go on adventures!
Make-A-Wish
Eva went on her Make-A-Wish trip at three years old!
Fontan time....
Her third open-heart surgery right after she turned four.
Give Kids the World
Eva at one of her favorite places, Give Kids the World (GKTW). It's where Wish kids and their families stay when they go to Walt Disney World for their trip. She is pointing to her star. Every child that stays there gets a start and is put up in the Castle of Miracles. GKTW is a truly magical place!
Recovery...PT time!
Sometimes recovery can be a VERY long and slow process. Eva took seven weeks to recover from her third open heart surgery. She took 72 days to recover from her first open-heart surgery. SHE IS A FIGHTER!!!!
Taking a walk while inpatient.
Sometimes walks inside a hospital look quite different from our normal ones. Eva was attached to a tower of medication that was being administered via one of her lines, she was on oxygen and a heart rate monitor. But, even with ALL of those things attached to her, getting up and out of her room made a huge difference in her attitude and mental health. It's not about how long it takes to recover, it's about listening to their little bodies.
SMILES, even when it's tough
Even when it's tough and Eva's inpatient, she smiles. She KNOWS that everyone is doing their best to take care of her and get her back home. She is SUCH a resilient trooper!
Adding one more disorder to her list...
Eva added a blood disorder to her list of medical complexities. While it is scary and has added a lot of time being in patient or getting labs done, to her days, she keeps fighting to be here.
Shichi-Go-San
Getting all dressed up for a traditional day, Shichi-Go-San. Japanese celebrate children turning 7, 5 and 3 years old. She got to get all dressed up in our traditional clothing, a kimono, and have her pictures taken. What an amazing Mother's Day this was!!
Christmas concert ready
ALL dressed up and ready to SING at her first Christmas concert. She loved every second of it!
HELLO KITTY!!
Hello Kitty isn't out and about very often at Universal, but we happened to run into her right after we entered the park. Eva had THE biggest smiles, since she's a character she likes and had never gotten to meet until then.
Our big, gorgeous girl!
All dolled up and ready for her second Christmas concert. She absolutely loved singing in it, and we couldn't be any prouder of her!
ALL the dolls!
Eva LOVES all her dolls and soft, warm blankets or hoodies. She was in heaven.
Just the three of us...
There is NO place we'd be, but right beside her. Trying our very best to give her THE best life we can.
The little things...
Eva TRULY has SUCH an appreciation for ALL the little things in life. She teaches us more and more every day about life, love and family. This girl LOVES her beaches and sunsets!!
