As a wonderful way to continue our beloved Ken Lane’s legacy we want to encourage you to join us in supporting the services provided by TASC. Another great way of continuing his legacy --as you can see in our Lane Team picture-- is Little Elliott (Ellie) born last September!
I married Ken in 1998 and became very involved with Ken’s dream to create a program that helped clients change their life and meet their potential. TASC became much more than Ken and I ever dreamed of it becoming and we, Ken’s family, are so proud of this achievement!
Times have changed quite a bit since 1998, and now Dennis Rutnam, TASC Executive Director and his leadership team continue to promote Ken’s dream with the same family-themed, professional and trailblazing program that we dreamed of so many years ago.
Ken’s son and wife, Jonathan, and Kate, along with Little Ellie join me to continue Ken’s legacy through the Lane Team 5K TASC Fundraiser. We hope you will join us in this endeavor to help individuals with I/DD create the life they so deserve!
TASC programs are 100% community-based and not only is TASC recognized in California as a program providing cutting-edge opportunities for many men and women who are facing enormous psychiatric and behavioral challenges, TASC has now received the CARF accreditation for their Supported Employment Program. So, although TASC is our dream come true with your help, you can become part of this process of helping others.

About This Event: Join us on Saturday, June 11 at Lake Balboa Park for a 5K Walk Fundraiser. The event will open at 9AM and the walk will promptly begin at 10AM. Most walkers will be done by 11:30AM. After the walk there will be food available for purchase, games and music. The walking path is wheelchair accessible!
How You Can Help: You can join our team and walk with us during the event. Select “Join Our Team!” to register for the event. All walk registrants will receive an event t-shirt. OR, if you can’t join us on the day of the walk, you can help support our team. Select “Donate Now” and your donation will help in our team’s fundraising goal!
Where Your Donations Go: All of the funds for this event will go toward the critical services provided by The Adult Skills Center (TASC). TASC provides education, behavioral services, integrated employment, and independent living services to hundreds of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Your support will mean a great deal for these important services!
