Frequently Asked Questions
1. How do I begin? Want to Participate? Just register online and join us! You can now create and manage your own personal page, share your photos, goals and get sponsors. If you have further questions, please contact Latifa Hamilton at tmhfoundation2014@gmail.com. 2. How do I participate? As done in previous years, a person will create a team and have individuals sign-up under their team name. If you do not want to be a part of a team,you can register as an Individual registrant. The events will take place rain or shine. 3. I am a Team Leader. What’s my responsibility? If you are a team leader this is your opportunity to spread the word about the event in your area. If you are participating as a virtual walker/runner, it is your responsibility to find a safe location where your walk/run can take place. For instance, a local park that has a trail, a neighborhood with less or no traffic, or local high school track. 4. I am attending the 5K events Team Leader. What do I receive from the foundation? You will receive the following the day of the event. Note: If you are a virtual participant, you will receive the following a few days prior to the event.
5. How does Social Media fit into this event? Social media will be used to keep in contact with the other events going on across the country. By posting pictures and videos during and after the event will help others to see how your event went too. Each year there is always a special way that we acknowledge our angels. Therefore, using Facebook Live or creating a video and posting will showcase the wonderful events we hold for our angels. Also, social media is one avenue that if we increase usefulness that participation/awareness will have the same effect. Don't forget to post using the hashtag designated for this year's event.
6. Is there a refund/exchange policy? Race registration fees are not refundable. 7. Is the 5K only for Runners? No! The 5K is designed as a day of fun for the whole family to spread awareness and acknowlege our angels. It attracts many participants from all near-by regions, but it is also attended by family members and friends and supporters from the greater community who look forward to it as a fun and exciting community gathering. 8.
