Chef Nicolas Mut, The Terrace Grille
Executive Chef Nicolas Mut has been in the industry his entire life as he grew up in the restaurant his family owned. He started his professional culinary career in Mexico with Anderson’s Group. His culinary career brought him to the United States in 1999. Since then he has lived in five states and all over Florida following opportunities that have allowed him to pursue his passion for food. He has even had the opportunity to cook for three Presidents and many international dignitaries. His favorite part of being a chef is getting to be a part of the most special days in people’s lives.

I am the Director of Sales and Catering for the historic Tapestry Terrace Hotel, by Hilton; located within the historic district of downtown Lakeland. Recently my husband and I have relocated to this area from Louisiana to be close to family and start early retirement! My husband, Bob is retired from the US Air Force, and we did have the wonderful opportunity of traveling throughout the globe. Polk County, Florida just kept being on our list to live and enjoy our retirement years! Though our travels over the years, I have had the opportunity to work around the world within the hospitality field. Bob and I have two wonderful adult children, married and two fantastic grandchildren that melt my heart every day! Together, we enjoy the Florida sun, beaches, golf, and exploring the Sunshine State.
