In August 2019 I became an employee of The Camphill School.  In September 2020 I became a Camphill parent.  Until I applied for my position I had no idea a place like Camphill existed. As a parent of a child with special needs I am still amazed by the selflessness of the community members who dedicate their lives to the students.  I love getting to know the long-term volunteers' stories- many met, fell in love and married their spouse and are raising their children here at Camphill. 

I was so excited to introduce Delaney to the purity and inherent goodness of Camphill. The pace is slower than our home life; students are actually encouraged to stop and smell the roses! Delaney is thriving at Meadowsweet.  The outdoor play and walks into the woods have awakened her sense of adventure and built up her stamina.  At home she wants to explore the woods behind our house and jump in puddles (I'm still working on embracing that.) 

I am a proud employee and parent.  I am glad that I have a hand in keeping Camphill going.  I am happy to share Camphill's story with others who, like me, don't know a beautiful place like this exists.
