I’m also not one to bury the lead so to get straight to the point, we are losing too many of our precious babies to cancer and I am raising funds because finding a cure for childhood cancer is not only something I am passionate about, it’s something that has to happen in our lifetimes.

What's my "why"?
Right now, it would take more than two hands to list friends and family who currently are or have battled cancer. Colon, brain, ovarian, breast… Too many to mention. Some are in remission, some have passed, and some are as of today, still fiercely battling and praying that a cure comes before it’s too late. I’ve seen what cancer does to the person battling, but also to those who love them. Young or old, it’s horrific and there has got to be a way to stop it. In my small way, I am trying to honor those who have passed and to fight like a dragon in support of those who are battling.
What shocked me, as I learned about this amazing foundation, is that cancer research is so unlike our everyday lives. We share what we had for dinner on Facebook, the latest dance trend on Tik Tok or the crazy antics of our dog on Instagram. But, do you know what’s not shared… cancer research. Brilliant minds all over the world make groundbreaking discoveries every day, and it’s not shared.
Crazy right? That this life saving data is not shared. Just think of the power of social media and how one breakthrough or discovery in Florida can help a child in Seattle or Japan or Germany.
