Growing up I always had anxiety that someday I would die from cancer. It wasn't until recently that I found out that I am predisposed to a certain kind and I've decided that no child should grow up with the fear of dying from cancer. I've always wanted to make a positive impact on the world, and what better way to do that than running for a charity. Specifically, I have wanted to run for a cause that helps individuals who have been diagnosed with cancer or any other life-altering illness. This year, this means running for the fight against Childhood Cancer.

The reason why I'm running against childhood cancer is because of the immense strength and resilience that children show in the face of such a terrible disease. I'm inspired by their determination to fight and their positive attitude even in the darkest of times. 

My fundraising goal is raising $750, or more which would be amazing, and any amount you can give would be greatly appreciated. 

Cancer is a leading cause of death in America and childhood cancer continues to be one of the scariest things for a parent to face. With the Dragon Master Foundation and their fundraising they are leading the charge to create easily accessible cancer research so that more and more people get access to learning about different sources of cancer and potentially finding a cure. 

Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those children battling cancer.

Each month my friends and I are running a 5k in preparation for this 10k and each month we're wearing a different color. So far, we've gone through Red, Orange and Yellow. Watch out for updates on GBIV and other colors!
