Family and friends,
This summer I will be participating in my second Ragnar, it is a relay race about 200 -ish miles alongside a group of family and friends in honor of my niece, Lola Mae. Lola bravely fought neuroblastoma, which is a rare and aggressive form of childhood cancer. Her strength, courage, and spirit continue to inspire all of us, and I will be running every mile with her in my heart. My sister-in-law, Kylee (Lola’s mom)and brother Jeff, pour their whole heart and soul into organizing this event. It brings our family and friends together to remember Lola, celebrate her life, and support other children and families who are fighting the same battle Lola had to endure. We are raising funds to support research and treatments that help children battling childhood cancer. Advances in research mean hope, better treatments, and more children getting the chance to grow up.
It has been ten years since Lola Mae gained her wings, (she would have been 16 this year!) but her memory and incredible strength have left a lasting impression on our hearts. She continues to inspire us every day. If you feel moved to support this cause, I would be incredibly grateful for any donation. Every contribution, big or small, helps move us closer to better treatments and cures for children who are fighting these difficult battles.
I feel deeply honored to be part of this event running along side my family to help keep Lola’s spirit alive by supporting children who are fighting for their lives.
Thank you so much for your love and support, keep the faith!
